Description

MATHS

11th and 12th grade are what you have learned, most of them have some modification. So you don’t have to worry about it, you can make great results. A

General Physics

Most of them are 11th and 12th graders.

Logic and critical thinking

This course is new to you. Rationality and philosophy are the basis of education. If you are a concept student and trying English language, you will do it. This course mainly requires your comprehension skills. It is a very, very interesting course🙈. But it requires deep reading and understanding. You shouldn’t read it on the surface☹️.

Anyway, there are excellent reference books for logic and critical thinking.

  1.  Concise introduction to logic
  2. freshman logic

📌 The book Concise introduction to logic explains it in a very cool way. It has some really cool and tough questions too😴. If you go through the questions in this book and do them properly, you will definitely pass the exam because there are some difficult questions in the book. They will take out the questions from the exercise book directly in the exam🙈🙈 It is the most used book by campus teachers👏👏.

📌 The book Freshman Logic makes you understand logic and critical thinking easily because it is translated in Amharic and explains. Freshman logic is the best book to understand the concept easily. It also has some very interesting concept questions. So we advise you

  1.  Read the note that the teacher gives you: PDF, follow the rules when the teacher teaches. You may encounter a teacher who does not teach well, so ask and understand existing students.
  2.  Reading the freshman logic book because you will understand the notes presented in the book easily.
  3.  Go to the book Concise introduction to logic and ask questions 🕺: it has amazing questions😴 Then you bring A and get punished

Communicative English skill

This course is a course for experienced students. What do you think it contains?

📌 Speaking skill (introducing yourself in English🙈: Then the teacher will give you a topic and give a presentation about it in English (some mark%)

📌 Reading skill (you will be given a passage, based on that you will be given a question (some mark%)

📌 Writing skill (letter, descriptive, narrative, argumentative, expository).

Grammar (Tense, Active and passive voice, conditional sentence, reported speech… These are the things you will learn and they are easy. The notes released on Concise may also be useful to you.)

Geography

You are not new to Geography either.

Psychology

This course may be new to you in many ways, but since you are used to reading biology, you won’t find it difficult. It’s theory. All you have to do is read it.

Physical fitness

Going out in the field and doing sumsoma is like running. So don’t forget you need sports armor. This course doesn’t have a grade, I mean it doesn’t have a grade, you just do it on your own. It is pass or fail. If you do not attend or miss a session in this course, you will pass.

So far, we have seen the courses that natural science students take in the first semester.

🥺 But there are some universities that teach emerging technology instead of logic and critical thinking in the first semester. Then they teach logic and critical thinking in the second semester. It just doesn’t matter, just so you know.

Emerging technology

This course is not new to you. 9-12 includes ICT lessons (Ms word, Ms PowerPoint, Ms excel, database… etc.)

Why Video tutorials

are essential for school book tutorials in countries like Ethiopia for several reasons:

1. Accessibility: Video tutorials make educational content more accessible to a wider audience, including students who may not have access to traditional textbooks or well-equipped schools. This is particularly important in regions with limited educational resources.

2. Visual Learning: Visual aids and demonstrations in video tutorials can enhance comprehension, especially for complex subjects. They provide a dynamic way to explain concepts, making it easier for students to understand and remember the material.

3. Self-Paced Learning: Video tutorials allow students to learn at their own pace. They can pause, rewind, and replay sections as needed to reinforce their understanding, catering to individual learning styles.

4. Engagement: Videos are inherently engaging and can capture students’ attention more effectively than traditional text-based materials. This engagement can lead to improved motivation and retention of information.

5. Multimodal Learning: Video tutorials often combine visuals, audio, and text, catering to various learning styles. This multimodal approach can accommodate diverse student preferences and needs.

6. Real-Life Applications: Videos can demonstrate real-life applications of theoretical concepts, helping students see the practical relevance of what they are learning, which can increase their interest and motivation.

7. Language Learning: In countries like Ethiopia, where students may be learning subjects in a language that is not their mother tongue, video tutorials can provide visual context and aid in language acquisition.

8. Accessibility to Expertise: Video tutorials can bring experts or specialized educators to remote or underserved areas, ensuring that students have access to high-quality instruction and resources.

9. Exam Preparation: Video tutorials can serve as valuable study aids for exam preparation, allowing students to review key concepts and problem-solving techniques.

10. Cost-Effective: Compared to traditional textbooks, creating and distributing video tutorials can be cost-effective in the long run, as they can be reused and easily updated.

In summary, video tutorials play a crucial role in enhancing education in countries like Ethiopia by increasing accessibility, improving comprehension, accommodating different learning styles, and fostering engagement. They offer a valuable supplement to traditional textbooks and can help bridge educational gaps in underserved areas.
