The Ethiopian Ministry of Education (MoE) has released a new Grade 10 Biology textbook for the 2023-2024 academic year. The textbook was written by Beyene Dobo, Ph.D., and Girma Tilahun, Ph.D., and edited by Kedir Woliy, Ph.D. (Content Editor), Girma Moti, MA (Curriculum Editor), and Temesgen Daniel, Ph.D. (Language Editor). The illustrations were done by Simachew Ayenew, MSc, and the design by Tesfamichael Getu, Ph.D. The textbook was evaluated by Berhanu Tesfaye, MA, MEd, and GebreHana Zeleke, MSc.

The new textbook is divided into six units:
- Unit 1: Sub-fields of Biology
- Unit 2: Plants
- Unit 3: Biochemical Molecules
- Unit 4: Cell Reproduction
